Recently, DWG President and CEO Blake DuBose was honored by Columbia Business Monthly magazine as one of Columbia, SC's "Best and Brightest Under 35." The article featured a biographical summary of Blake's views on business and life.
He said, "Being grateful, putting others’ needs before my own, and making a difference are all foundational values that were instilled in me at an early age by my parents. As a young entrepreneur, these traits continue to be my compass in every personal and business relationship that I have today.
Being the leader of a small company that I began in 2007 is one of the greatest gifts of my professional journey. DuBose Web is one of five family companies whose sole purpose is to make a difference in the lives of co-workers, customers, and the community. As the president of Columbia Capital Rotary Club, it’s ironic that this year’s Rotary International slogan is 'Making a Difference.'
Being successful isn’t about how much money you make, how many friends you have on social media, or your profession. It’s about selfless acts of kindness, building genuine relationships, doing what you’re passionate about, and making a difference in the lives of others. The bottom line is for all of us to work together to make the world a better place."
